CLARA Classroom is designed for students and teachers who have limited to no access to arts education in their school. The content is intended for beginner students as an introduction to the art form but can be enjoyed and utilized by students of all levels and abilities.
Our program includes courses in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts.
Unlike other online courses, CLARA Classroom brings a virtual teaching artist into your classroom or remote learning environment. Students can experience sequential, standards-aligned performing arts instruction each week, fully taught by our professional teaching artists.
No prior arts experience is necessary. All training and instruction is delivered through the video courses. The only materials required are basic art supplies for the visual arts courses.
CLARA Classroom is only $22.00 per student annually. Pricing is per-student, with teachers and administrators receiving complimentary account access with any purchase.
We want you to be happy! If you are not 100% satisfied after completing the course, you may request a full enrollment refund. Refunds only available for the duration of your active membership -- refunds cannot be offered after your annual membership has ended.
CLARA Classroom was designed to support teachers by ensuring that all lesson content is delivered fully through the video lessons. Teachers do not need to plan or prepare for lessons in advance; in fact, they are encouraged to learn alongside their students and participate in the lesson activities! Each course is delivered in a series of 30-minute lessons that can be offered once each week.
Yes! It is highly recommended to participate in our 90-minute in-person or virtual training session to orient teachers with the platform, experience a sampling of the lesson activities first hand, and ensure that teachers can use the resource to its fullest potential. The training also includes strategies to build a safe, trusting, and supportive classroom environment to ensure successful implementation of the activities.

Each dance course includes a sequential series of exercises, skills, and techniques combined to build a solid foundation in each style of dance. Students will practice safe and effective warm-up exercises, build coordination, flexibility and balance, and learn a fully choreographed routine.
Students will learn basic notation, dynamics, and rhythms with opportunities to write your own music, and learn how to play with others. The courses also offer an introduction to instruments in the percussion family with demonstrations and activities to make your own instruments at home or in the classroom.
Students will learn a wide range of improvisation-based theatre games that can be played alone, with a partner, or with a group. The games build focus, creativity, and connection among students to build a classroom culture of trust and respect.
Students will learn techniques in watercolor painting, drawing, and paper collage. Each three-lesson course will lead students through a complete project, allowing them to use the artistic process as a form of self expression.
