QUALITY INSTRUCTION
CLARA Classroom brings a virtual teaching artist directly to students in grades TK-12. All course curriculum is developed by a team of professional artists and experienced educators to provide standards-aligned, sequential arts learning in dance, music, and theatre.
-
ENGAGING LESSIONS
Each course includes opportunities for students to interact with their peers, teachers, and CLARA artists in safe and secure forums where they can ask questions, demonstrate new skills, challenge their imaginations, and discover their creative potential.
-
COMMUNITY
Students can share their progress as they complete each course by posting photos, videos, and messages on their safe and secure classroom community forum. The CLARA teaching artists will respond to the posts and provide direct feedback and encouragement to the students.
-
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL GROWTH
All courses include tools and resources for students to rebuild a sense of community, belonging, and togetherness that will support them as local schools begin their slow transition out of the pandemic.
-
VERSATILITY
CLARA Classroom can be facilitated by teachers, classified staff, or executed independently by students in a variety of learning environments; in school, after school, and remotely. No prior arts experience is required.
-
LIVE INTERACTION
After completing each course module, schools can request a live, virtual class with the teaching artist where students can meet the instructor, learn additional content, and engage in a live Q&A.
-
CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE
Students will have the opportunity to celebrate and learn about diverse cultures through art forms native to their history.
